- Partha Chatterjee the present minister of Commerce and Industries department of West Bengal Government gets arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED). He was the former Education Minister and is arrested in relation to the investigation of School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment scam.
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed penalty of Rs. 57.75 Lakh on Suryoday Small Finance Bank for non-compliance with the ‘Reserve Bank of India (Frauds classification and reporting by commercial banks and select FIs) directions 2016’ due to delayed reporting of frauds and failure to report fraud complaints to the police authorities in certain cases.
