RBI has imposed penalty on 2 sahakari banks & 1 cooperative bank

Regulator Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed monetary penalty on 2 Sahakari Banks and 1 cooperative bank for non compliance of its directives.

  • Dombivli Nagari Sahakari Bank – has been levied penalty of Rs. 45 lakh for non-compliance of RBI directive related to ‘frauds monitoring/reporting and maintenance of deposit accounts’ issued on 20th July 2022.
  • Jila Sahakari Kendriya Bank (Maryadit-Rajnandgaon-Chhatisgarh) – has been penalised for Rs. 3 lakh for non-compliance of KYC directions issued on 22nd July 2022.
  • United Puri-Nimapada Central Co-operative Bank – has been penalised for Rs. 2 lakh for non-compliance of KYC directions issued on 22st July 2022.
