If you frequently travel by train, here is some good news for you from Indian Railways.
Individuals can now book 24 online train tickets using IRCTC website and mobile application in a month. For this they have to link their Aadhaar and their IRCTC client ID at IRCTC website and mobile application. Instead of 24 tickets now, earlier the monthly limit was 6 tickets if you have not linked your aadhaar to IRCTC and 12 tickets if you have linked your aadhaar. People who have larger families or travel frequently have to rely on agents for their ticket booking but this announcement from the railways will be convenient to public at large.
Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) manages the online ticket booking for Indian Railways and with increasing internet usage more people are booking train tickets online using IRCTC website and mobile application.
